WEDNESDAY POETRY PROMPTS: 176 (HAIRY POEMS)

“Who Loves Ya Baby”

It’s time to explore the cutting edge of fashion

braiding and weaving are a hairstyling passion

trimming and cutting maybe shaving or waxing

just doing my eyebrows is a chore I find taxing

there’s hair in armpits, there’s hair in the nose

O God how I’m thankful there’s no hair between toes

A neon protrusion that’ll make you say yikes

don’t gawk at mohawk, it’s just liberty spikes

a quiff in a jiff, a bouffant a beehive

an elegant Marcel wave, from hairdo archive

the options are endless maybe even tie-dyed

catch up on gossip while getting blow dried

and if you ask her, why friends call her Sadie

she prays and thanks god, she’s not bearded lady

so many choices maybe I’ll opt for head shaving

lollipop in hand, I fondly remember, Kojak waving
