Today Samuel Peralta / Semaphore has asked us to write a single or string of lunes in whatever variation we like.

In Jack Collom’s variation of the lune, words are counted instead of syllables, and the structure is a count of 3-5-3 words.

I really enjoyed these, Randy. So many different moods. I laughed aloud about the falling and can’t get up one. Very clever fare. Well done all around.

Sandy definitely stole some much needed heat and light–made it hard for some to give thanks. I particularly enjoyed the stripteaser and bartender lunes.

You’ve just demonstrated the power of the lune form to structure succinct satirical or humorist verse, something which hasn’t been shown yet in the previous poems I’ve read tonight. Well done!
